Dan Botelho arrives at Bishop Feehan with 31 years of experience in the golf industry and has been a member of the P.G.A. of America since 2001. Botelho’s roles throughout his career have included being a P.G.A. Head Golf Professional, P.G.A. Assistant Head Golf Professional, and P.G.A. Director of Instruction. In addition, he has four years of previous combined coaching experience both at the high school and collegiate level. Botelho’s true passion is teaching and coaching the game. He has instructed over 8,500 individual private golf lessons throughout his career. 

As a player, Botelho had a standout career at Taunton High School where he still holds multiple high school records, most notably his 10th place finish in the M.I.A.A. State Individual Golf Championship. Botelho was Taunton High School’s #1 player all four years of his career, won the Old Colony League Individual Championship and led his team to their first ever Old Colony League Team Championship during his senior year. He was the first Taunton High School golfer to receive a collegiate golf scholarship. At Division II UMass-Lowell, Botelho won four individual collegiate tournaments and was a member of the 1990 Mass. State Collegiate Golf Championship team in a tournament where he finished in 10th place in the state individually. Botelho later turned professional and competed in professional mini tour events on the Moonlight Professional Golf Tour in Florida. He had multiple top ten finishes including a win in 1995. Botelho also had success in New England P.G.A. tournaments, finishing in the final four of the 1999 New England P.G.A. Assistant Professional Match Play Championship, finished in 3rd place in the 1996 New Hampshire P.G.A. Assistant Professional Stroke Play Championship, and had consecutive top ten finishes in the 1998 & 1999 New England P.G.A. Assistant Professional Stroke Play Championship. 
 
Botelho currently is in his third year as P.G.A. Director of Instruction at John F. Parker Golf Course in his hometown of Taunton. He resides in Franklin, MA with his wife Cheryl and son Bryce.
